Im März 2018 ist die Monografie „Language museums of the world“ des Norwegers Ottar Grepstad erschienen (ca. 138 S.). Sie kann kostenlos als E-Book heruntergeladen werden und behandelt rund 80 Institutionen, überwiegend aus Europa und neuerer Zeit, die als Sprachmuseen bezeichnet und feiner unterteilt werden können.
